United Nations formally had designated March 8 as INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S DAY in 1975, after years of celebrations regarding the importance of GENDER EQUALITY and WOMEN’S RIGHTS.
IWD is not only to recognise the challenges that remain in the contemporary times but to honour the progress they have made in various fields namely – ARTS, SCIENCE AND LITERATURE to name a few.
So, we in the Editorial Board of Samantha Pathrika thought it is most appropriate to introduce to you our own sisters and mothers who have excelled in their own spheres.
Since more and more articles are received from women folk who have shown their mettle in various fields, we have decided to come out with one more issue of Samantha Pathrika exclusively to accommodate more women, may be in the coming issue.
